Stopped to eat at 12:15 am one guy on his phone second guy finally comes around to front of the counter and neither ever says a word to us. We stood in the store for ten minutes. My thoughts to the owner you need new staff before you are out of business. Gave a star because I had to to leave a review.

This place is absolutely incredible! I've had many a sandwich in my lifetime and 99% of the time they range from ok to good, but this place is fantastic! One of the few other places that can compete here are the two famous Philly cheesesteak shops right across from each other in Philly itself -- and that comparison is definitely high praise. Their beer selection is ridiculous -- icelandic ale, no joke and it's delicious! Thank you to Tony and Irish for their amazing sandwich making skills and friendly service!

The setting isn't what you go for at this place. It's pretty hole in the wall looking. But the food is pretty good and they are open super late. The gyro I ordered was very well done, i also added chicken to it, though the chicken was a touch salty it was good, and the garlicky zip of the tatziki sauce was a great foil for the pile of meat. They have a large array of soft drinks and beers.

Worst food EVER!! I don't know what's happening in this Clearwater area but it's been horrible....the restaurants are just terrible!! Ordered from this place after a concert, it was referred to us by our hotel lobby saying it was the only place open at 11:30 at night for delivery....was delivered about an hour later and the food was uneatable....really?? Just because your the only place open you think it's right to deliver & sell such horrible food?? The Caesar salad was doused in salad dressing and the sub sandwich I don't even know what kind of meat it was and the bread was horrendous!!! Don't waist your money!! And They charge $5 for delivery, plus we tipped the driver!! Go to bed hungry and hope for a decent breakfast at the hotel...will let you know about that one in the morning!!

I must have gotten lucky and gone during their off hours, because I was the only one in there ordering a sandwich. Being pregnant, sometimes I have cravings. Typically they're not sweet in nature, but more savory. I remembered Mark H talking about a sandwich place in palm harbor that was open late. Being it was July 4th, I needed a place that was probably open and figured they would be. My car drove me to their establishment (although I nearly passed it-it's across the street from Ferman BMW in a tiny strip center with a mattress store) and I entered to the 2 employees cooking a ton of bacon. I'm assuming they were getting ready for tonight's late crowd. I went with Lauren's suggestion and got the shlomo steak on a pita wrap. This is basically a Philly cheese steak, but they spread a garlic concoction on the bread. It was fresh. So fresh that the guy making my sandwich was cutting the mushrooms up as my meat was cooking. The end result was a really good, savory sandwich. It was moist and full of flavor. When in the area, I will stop in and try another one of their creations.

I was hungry tonight and about to order because they DO have the late night delivery thing going on... BUT I am making a grilled cheese instead because the last time they came here and delivered it was some little punk girl who brought us our order. My wife was walking down the stairs of our condo and I was saying to a friend "ain't this a bitch" about something completely irrelevant, something that was in a movie on the television and that little high school Delivery girl Yelled up the stairs, " you best not talk to your girl like that in front of me". I'm happily married with 3 kids... If I wasn't in my robe I would have gone downstairs And pulled her distributor cap from Her car and thrown her in the lake out back.. Get some Respectful employees. Fire the little Kids that watch the Kardashian's and can't Pull up their pants ... . Or don't send out your employees at 2 AM if they hate their job and are also high on drugs...

I wish I could tell you about the food, but the sole person working the counter just stood and looked at me from the kitchen area. The placement of hookahs around the place is also a turnoff. "Shlomo" could be renamed slo-mo and that would be about right. I left and found another place to eat.

Food is sub par. Service is horrible, and unprofessional. We ordered a 12 inch 5-0 sub. It supposedly has chicken bacon mushrooms and onions on it when we ordered it you could tell that the chicken has been microwaved the hoagie was soggy and the potato salad had a sweet almost different flavor to it. It did not taste like potato salad at all. Lastly the only good thing about our meal was that they delivered but it was a waste of $20 for something that should've cost seven will never go there again don't spend your hard earned money on it.

OH YEA BABY, DELISH! I love this place! lots of flavor and good prices. Open super late for last minute grub downs :) So many options to pick from, I just love the flavors.

I'm only giving this one star, because I can't give it a zero. I suppose it deserves one star for being open until 4 am, to feed the faces of semi-conscious night owls. The food here gives mind to the kind of food you could expect not-too-bright high school kids would whip up if they had absolutely no idea how to do anything. The chicken gyro was terrible, the chicken dry, tasteless and overcooked. The tzatziki was totally weird and disgusting, no cucumber or garlic, but mint was in it, like a gross watery toothpaste. I had grape leaves, which were also inedible, no oil dressing, no lemon sauce, no discernible meat or seasoned rice in it, just greasy turds of rolled grape leaves with what seemed like gummy Play-Doh in the center. The hummus was watery and tasted bad, like a cleaning chemical was in it. The pita chips were weird, stale and tasteless. The worst was the Baba Gannoush, goopy foul-tasting watery puke. I have no idea how they could do anything right here, even if you had no taste buds or sense, the food is still a very poor value compared to the many other terrible places in the area. They are so nuts they even offer a forty dollar meat and cheese "Hungry Man" sandwich on the menu that comes with a free fountain drink.

It's great they deliver so late but getting someone on the phone is about impossible and the guy answering the phone was a dick. The food showed up late and was wrong. They would of kept my business if the food would of been good but yet again another let down. If you're hammered and don't want to drive it's a decent option but I will go with a frozen pizza next time.

  • Hazel T.

Probably the worst lunch I've ever had. It took 30 minutes to get two sandwiches, both were wrong and one inedible. Frozen reconstituted chicken with the texture of plastic, I spat it out and gave up. Roast beef wrap had ham and one slice of beef, definitely not as described and not worth $10. I had heard great things about Shlomo's and I'm upset that it was not as I was told. I'll never return.

This is one of the best deli sandwich joints in the area. They have beers and wines from all over. The sandwiches do take a while to make but they are made from scratch and worth the wait. The pastrami and cheese steaks are delicious! If you're in the area, check it out!

This place is a little strange. While a few friends and I were hanging out at 7venth Sun Brewery on Saturday, we became hungry and asked an employee there about some places from which we could order something to eat. He recommended Shlomo. We didn't know anything about it before he cited its name. We trusted his opinions about it, however, and decided to give it a chance. My two friends ordered sandwiches, and I ordered a wrap. I believe mine was called The Wild Courtney or Kourtney; something like that. Our food arrived some time later (we were told it might be between 45 minutes to an hour for the wait, and I think it ended up being closer to an hour; not a big deal, really). The somewhat unpleasant surprise pertained to the food that we received. Each of the items we ordered were extraordinarily spicy, and I don't believe that they should have been. My wrap arrived as expected and contained spicy peppers, olives and more, but there was something about it that was almost unbearably spicy/hot. Perhaps whoever made the sandwiches accidentally put an unnecessary/extra ingredient on these items. I don't know, really. One of my friends said her sandwich also was incredibly hot, and the other friend's sandwich (a chicken sandwich with Buffalo sauce) also was overwhelmingly hot. Yes, he was expecting a kick, considering that he ordered a Buffalo chicken sandwich, but he wasn't expecting it to be THAT hot. My wrap was practically uneatable as just a few bites of it had my mouth feeling like the inside of an active volcano. It tasted pretty good, but there was something on it that I wasn't expecting and I couldn't finish the second half of it. One friend called Shlomo and asked why everything was so spicy/hot, but whoever she spoke with didn't have a precise answer. We couldn't quite place the flavor of what had us burning up, either. It wasn't jalapeño or habanero pepper ... it was something even hotter. The friend who ordered the chicken sandwich said that his was the spiciest thing he's ever tasted, and that's saying something considering that he is from Louisiana and is very accustomed to Cajun dishes. He could eat only half of his sandwich, and I'm not sure my other friend finished even half of her own. This place's menu has some interesting choices on its menu but I'm a little afraid to try anything from here again as I'm not sure I'll get what I'm expecting. I'd probably have to watch what I'm ordering being prepared in front of me so as to be assured that it's exactly what I want. Be careful when ordering via the phone or having a delivery sent. You may not get exactly what you want. However, my experience may be an isolated incident.

After multiple post-billiards revisits to Shlomo's and trying 5 or 6 of their sandwiches, I've come to the conclusion that my favorite is their Italian Meat Lover Sub. Plenty of meat to satisfy the most carnivorous of appetites, and ample Italian flavor that will make anyone with a last name ending in a vowel feel proud! This is a big sandwich people, so be prepared to split it, unless you're freaking starved. They put a ton of lettuce on there, so bring a Tupperware dish, scoop that nonsense in there and take it home for a Romain salad later. I rate this bad boy a 4.56 on my Italian sammich list, putting them at the top. I still haven't found what I'm looking for (You can hate me for having U2 stuck in your head now), which is a rated-5 Italian!

This is a BIG MEAT sandwich shop. A good clue is that some of the vegetarian salads have chicken. I had the Shlomo ribeye steak sandwich and it must have had nearly a pound of steak in this bad boy. Food is made fresh from what I could tell and took about 20 min to make. Plan to have a beer while you wait.

All the sandwiches I've gotten at Shlomos have been very fresh, made to order, and of exceptional quality. One time he made fresh babaganoush right there in front of me for my sandwich. The falafel wrap is incredibly tasty, with fresh tahini, hummus, and parsley, and other fixings. It's also lightly grilled which I love. There is a good selection including many vegetarian options, but also a lot for meat eaters. The Tripleta has bacon, chicken, cheese, and steak. (A vegetarian's nightmare.) They have a really good craft beer selection, and wine too if you feel up to it. They have a daily special Monday-Friday from 4:45 to 6:45 for a 10" sub that costs whatever the time of day is. A good deal, especially if you get there early. It can take a little bit long to get your order made, and that is my only negative. But it's fresh and delicious!

I went in on a Monday night on my way home from a long day at the beach. I got the Monday deal: "Buy one gyro get the second for $0.99" Total came out to just under $9. And damn, those gyros were STACKED with meat. The only annoyance I had was that it took about 20 minutes to get my gyros, but luckily I got to meet the owner George and he was good company while I waited. I'll definitely be going back and trying one of their 12" inch sandwiches; I've heard nothing but great things about them from friends.

I was very pleased to find a local sandwich shop with a unique menu. The majority of their menu is comprised of sandwiches with a slight Mediterranean twist and some staple sandwiches like ham, turkey, and so on. Their unique sandwiches are where the magic happens. Also, it is run by an eccentric mix of folks who are always very attentive and friendly, albeit at times painfully slow to assemble your order. I've tried a few of their items thus far and have been please with all but one of them. The Reuben is fantastic and each of the ingredients meld well together without either of them being overpowering. Their bread is always delicious. My favorite sandwich by far is The Stephanie: spice humus, sprouts, provolone, LTO served on Pumpernickel. The only item that I have tried where I felt let down was their felafel. While the dressing and construction were on point, the actual felafel itself was too dry on the outside. A felafel should be moist similar to a meatball and these seemed to be a bit too cooked or sitting in a hot pan for a bit past when they should have been changed out. All in all I eat here once a month on average and enjoy their food and service 95% of the time.

If you have ever been to Shlomo, you know there are many reasons to go back again and again. If you've never been, allow me to entice you into trying it. Shlomo is a little hole in the wall type deli on US 19 but it has so much to offer. The owner, George, is a great guy, always friendly and chats with everyone when they come in like they are an old friend. He will customize whatever you order to make sure it is something you love. Lots of variety of bottled beer to please someone looking for a cold, exotic beer. Also, a wide selection of wine for sale to take home with you. The food is to die for. I usually get the shlomo steak, which I like to compare to a philly cheese steak, except better because it also has a garlic spread on the pita. Almost any sandwich ordered can be made on regular sub bread or a pita or wrap, gotta love choices. The falafel is also delicious, loaded with flavor and really excellent on a salad. Both indoor and outdoor seating depending on your preference and hookahs available for outside as well. Open from lunch time all the way til the wee hours of the morning for those looking for late night grub. I can't say enough good things about this place and wish I had more time to go. I hope George reads this and knows he is running a stellar deli!!!

I am sad to have to write such a bad review about a place that used to be at the top of my list. George (the owner) is a very nice and funny guy. I got to know his mother as well when they first opened as she used to help out at the restaurant. The food was amazing with shawerma and falafel being what we would order every time. Their hummus and homemade pickles were among the best we've ever had. This was about a year ago. We moved and had not visited Shlomo for quite some time. We went back twice recently and were highly disappointed. George only works a few hours a day now and has someone else running the show. There is no more friendly banter and the food is terrible. The shawerma is dry and flavorless and the falafel is like sand. You are no longer asked how you want you sandwich; he just makes it however and you take it. I hate to say it but I will never order from there again unless George is there. Hopefully he still does things the right way. Otherwise I am not sure they will last much longer.

Learned about this place through Groupon. Paid $7 for $15 worth of food. Ordered the lamb shawerma plate ($10.99) and a side of garlic hummus ($3.99). The lamb shawerma plate was rather good, much better than what I was expecting especially with this establishment being a deli. The lamb meat was rather tender and all of the ingredients and flavors meshed well. The pita that came with the hummus could be better, but overall, I was rather pleased especially considering the fact that there aren't many restaurants/deli's in the area that serve Shawerma, Falafel, hummus, etc.

Suuuuper tasty food, the best baba in town for sure. I have yet to try the sandwiches, but I find it hard when the med food is soooo good. The best part is they are open late! Do yourself a favor and pop in for a salad and a wrap!

I trust Yelper's to filter the bad ones and guide me to experience new places I haven't made it to yet. I had this place bookmarked for awhile and never found a time to make it in there, until recently. We had family in town and immediately following their departure were left with the pressing dilemma of having to eat dinner with nothing n the cabinet or refrigerator that could be considered meal worthy. Mind you it was later than usual on a Sunday and our fallback takeout spot was closed, enter Yelp. I searched open now in the area and Shlomo's popped up. The reviews were good and the food was Mediterranean so we both could find something to eat without feeling bad about it being greasy or battered and fried. I had high hopes, my best friend is Lebanese (and my name is Athena, so you can assume I'm familiar with the cuisine) I suppose the first clue was the crowd hanging out on the patio, it was similar to what you would find outside the movie theatre in pinellas park on a Friday night, except they were smoking a hookah. Patronage is not always a sign of what a place looks to be so we exited the car and walked inside. The guy in front of us was casually conversing with the girl behind the counter making his food, we waited debating our order while they finished. For the next 10 minutes we talked to each other while they still continued to talk about people they knew, work schedules, and prep stuff, before finally we were acknowledged by the girl working. She told us we could order when we were ready, turns out she was slicing mushrooms the entire time not making a sandwich for this guy. Oh well hopefully the food makes up for this right? We were obviously wrong given the one star, but I suppose if garlic is the only flavor you are looking for this place is stellar. I ordered a falafel pita, I expect some garlic but I was literally getting entire mouthfuls, it was so bad I tried scraping the hummus off to dumb it down. The pita was stale and there were a ton of pickles dumped on this thing, simply put it was a disaster. The other half ordered something chicken or turkey maybe, it too was loaded with garlic on a stale pita. This dinner was so bad we bagged it back up and heated up a can of soup. The only thing worse than the meal was the garlic smell lingering on each others breath and wafting through my home the next day. So disappointed, this place had all the potential: mediterranean cuisine, open late nights, and delivers (I think until 1am even) it's a shame it didn't workout.

Big fan. Great tasty sandwiches. Funny owner. They use a lot organic vegetables and boar's head products. Their roast beef was very tasty. Try the French Candy sandwich- Turkey french dressing, cream cheese, sunflower seeds, sprouts etc...
